Daleks catch the bus
It's all very well being encouraged to "Hop on a Bus" but it seems to be attracting all sorts of odd types. A couple of Daleks tried to board a London Transport Routemaster at Shepherd's Bush Green to the dismay of the conductor and an inspector.

The pop group Abba congratulate each other in Brighton, after winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden with "Waterloo", sung by the girls, Annifrid Lyngstad (Frida), second left, and Agnetha Faltskog (Anna). The other group members, Benny Andersson, left, and Bjorn Ulvaeus, composed the song.
Hendrix Plays at Isle of Wight Festival : 1970
18/09/1970 - ON THIS DAY IN 1970: Jimi Hendrix dies on this day in 1970. Pictured at the recent Isle of Wight music festival is pop singer Jimi Hendrix who was taken dead to St. Mary Abbot's Hospital, Kensington, London. German-born artist Monika Danneman, a former girlfriend of Hendrix, has been found dead in a fume-filled car near her home, police said.
